Experience

Before transitioning into safety in 1989, Richard had been a process engineer in the metals, pulp and paper, chemicals and plastics industries. He was a Safety Director in a Fortune 500 chemical company before forming his independent occupational safety and health consulting practice in 1999.

His consulting work has centered around training, safety program management, hazard analysis, auditing, and special projects in chemicals, manufacturing, biotechnology and general industry.
